At the moment the most important thing is to take your poppy to a Veterinarian; Early, vigorous treatment of illness caused by canine parvovirus infection can save lives. I am sorry but some puppies infected with parvovirus will die despite prompt and adequate treatment. While no extremely accurate statistics are available, a good guess is probably that 80% of puppies treated for parvovirus will live. Without treatment, probably 80% or more of the infected puppies would die. Please take a look at here for more information : http://www.vetarena.com/dogs-health-...dog-parvo.html Regards. |

thanks for the great answer A.Chakery. |
Member | Reply Parvo is highly contagious so it really is important that you get your dog seen to right away, first to try to save the dog's life and second, to find solutions so that your other dogs won't get contaminated. |

Member | Reply Parvovirus causes severe life-threatening diarrhea, often diarrhea has blood in it. Once a puppy has symptoms of parvo, if left untreated they can die within 48 - 72 hours. If your puppy or dog becomes infected they will shed the virus in their feces for up to three weeks. |
