DrGregDVM - Cat with Dislocated Hip
Featured video
Description
Limping cats are common. People always think the hip is dislocated when the problem usually stems from a bite or scratch which results in a painful swelling or abscess. Most limping is the result of cat fights. If a cat puts weight on a leg, it probably isn't broken. However sometimes a cat will get hit by a car and suffer a broken leg or dislocation of the hip joint. I show you the xray, the cat under anesthesia, and how I fatigue the muscles under anesthesia and get the ball of the femur back where it belongs!
